Why do i keep having such disgusting dreams?

I'm no expert, but I used to go through a similar thing. It was violent dreams though, not gore. Now that I'm thinking about it even though the dreams were violent my mind sort of skipped over the gore, if that makes sense? I had dream after dream about being possessed and sometimes shot. And you know even though I was being "possessed" in the dreams, i didn't wake up with that horror feeling like when you have a nightmare, it was more of a sickening feeling. I became really concerned about why this was happening to me, because honestly it was nigh after night and I hadn't seen or experienced anything in real life to cause my mind to dream this crap. I'm sorry I don't have an answer to why this is happening to you. All I can say is that I went through a similar thing and it lasted only about 2-3 weeks. Then it stopped and it never happened again. Very weird. Just try not to think about it too much and hopefully it'll stop.
