Is he just leading me on, or does he realy like me?

ok so me and this guy broke up about a year ago because i thought he liked someone else, and for the past 8 months now he has been dating her, but a few weeks ago i was camping with my friends and he just happened to be there. well my friends over herd him talking to his buddy saying he still likes me so i told him how i felt and he said he wished i told him sooner so him and his girlfriend wouldn't had been dating so long and it would be easier to leave her. well ever sense then he's text me everyday, but if i ever try to bring it up he changes the subject and he will flirt with me from time to time but he doesn't act like leaving her is on his mind at all. at this point i don't know what he's doing or why i am even still bothering with it all. So do y'all think hes just leading me on??
